Most of our questions are about weddings, however, every now and then someone will ask something about senior portraits, family pics and so on. So, I decided to create some FAQ’s for all of our photography services (except weddings).
Q: How long do portrait sessions last?
- A: It depends. We do offer mini-sessions that are as short as 15-20 minutes. Most sessions are about 30 minutes, but some sessions that require several different locations can be up to one to two hours in length. Usually sessions involving babies, children and pets last a wee bit longer as kids and pets can be quite unpredictable!
Q: How can I see my proofs, and when will they be available?
- A: It usually takes about 2 weeks (sometimes 3 weeks, during busy season) before your proofs are available to view. When you schedule your portrait session we will also schedule a viewing session where you will come to our office and view your finished portraits in a multimedia presentation. We have found that it makes the viewing and ordering of your images MUCH easier to view and narrow down your favorite images in person. We also have online proofing so that you can share your finished portraits with friends and family. We offer online proofing of all your images. We do not do printed proofs any longer, however, if you wish to have printed proofs we can provide them to you at an additional charge.
Q: What are your booking requirements?
- A: To book any session (NOT for a wedding) we require a $100 non-refundable deposit to retain our services along with a signed agreement.
Q: We would like to have some family portraits taken and we have a large family, how many people can be included in a portrait session?
- A: All of our portrait sessions allow for up to 4 individuals. Any additional friends, family members or pets that you would like to included after 4 are then charged at $20 per additional subject.
